Serving Training to Over 20,000 Restaurants Worldwide.
No matter where you are in the world, chances are there’s a golden arch in sight and a McDonald’s nearby. With thousands of restaurants worldwide and locations in over 115 countries, Mickey D’s is one of the most successful food chain entities in its industry. To ensure the same level of quality is being brought to every customer, the restaurant needed an efficient way to universally train and onboard employees through an accessible and easy-to-use platform.
RDI Ablaze tackled this challenge with one focus: to unify all learning materials into one system. We used a simple interface to organize content and promote easy-to-view animation that would be well received across the globe. The eLearning initiative was designed to be accessible from the Internet or installed locally for restaurants without access to WiFi or the Internet.
The output for McDonald’s included 20+ diverse training courses that were shared with 20,000 restaurants in 26 different languages. By condensing McDonald’s training tactics, it now takes 1/10th the amount of time to deploy new eLearning updates, and we’ve decreased the amount of time it takes to modify courses by 93%. It allows McDonald’s to be more efficient and to better allocate the breadth of their resources.
